The information here is written in the most simple way with pictures and models. It is the summary of 3 days workshops in Ghana as part of a sensitization program to de-massaging the head of the baby with hot water.
What this site lacks is the demonstrations, self-experiences, conversations, and examples of difficulties in learning that come as a result of the destruction of nerves in the baby's brain due to the custom of massaging the head of a baby with hot water that were given in the workshop.
Difficulty in learning among Ghanaian children who passed hot water massage to their head was recorded in Creative Foundation School which was established in 2011by Yael Dzamesi, who designed and managed the curriculum and the school. The outcome of the research indicates a high possibility that the practice of hot water massage to the babies' heads is harmful since it impairs the brain development and the learning capabilities of the children. It showed a delay up to 3 years in cognitive development in comparison to the cognitive development of children over the world that do not pass hot water massage to their head.
