Regular-warm water bath to a newborn baby in Ghana
(Picture 40 and watch Video 1):
This is a few days old baby. His mother uses warm water that she feels comfortable to sit in it. The temperature of this water is around 37 degrees Celsius.
The baby is fully awake and active. His eyes are open, and he looks on his mother.
In his first few days the baby learns to focus his eyes on his mother.
Focus is an effort to concentrate the eyes and look on something for long and study its details.
However, when we put the hot water on the head of the baby, we damage the ability of the baby to focus on things. Children that pass hot water massage to their head can not look on a picture more than few seconds. They are not able to see the details of the picture and answer correctly on questions about the picture.
